Cumbria Business Spotlight is run by Lee, trading as North Eden Digital, Carlisle, Cumbria. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

If you fill in the "get featured" form, we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, business name and area, and anything else you choose to tell us, such as a phone number or links.

If you send us photos or interview answers for a feature, we use them to write and publish that feature.

How we use it

We use your details only to reply to you and to arrange, write and publish your feature. We don't sell your details or add you to a mailing list. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to a request you've made.

Published features

Features are only published with the business owner's approval. If you'd like a feature changed or removed, contact us and we'll do it promptly.

Services we use

• Web3Forms delivers form submissions to our inbox.
• Cloudflare hosts this website and may process basic technical data such as IP addresses to keep it secure.
• Instagram (Meta) hosts our social media posts.

Cookies

This website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for up to 12 months, and feature materials for as long as the feature is published.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time. Contact us via the form or on Instagram at @cumbriabusinessspotlight. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
