Why Cumbria Business Spotlight exists

The idea

Cumbria is full of brilliant small businesses: the electrician who's been looking after the same streets for 30 years, the café that knows everyone's order, the salon that started at a kitchen table. Most of them are too busy doing the work to shout about it.

Cumbria Business Spotlight gives them a moment in the spotlight. Each feature is a short, friendly interview that tells the story behind the business and links readers straight to their website, socials or phone number.

Who runs it?

I'm Lee, and I live and work in Carlisle. My day job is building websites for local businesses at North Eden Digital. I set up Spotlight as a separate, free project, because I meet so many great businesses that deserve to be better known.

Is there a catch?

No. Features are free and always will be. You're never asked to buy anything, and you approve every feature before it's published. If you'd ever like your feature changed or taken down, just ask and it'll be done.
